A Portrait Session at the Abandoned Seljavallalaug Pool in South Iceland

Taking Engagement Photos at Seljavallalaug Pool was a bucket list item. Even just getting a chance to hike out there was something I had wanted to do for years. Prior to our shoot, we had met up Krua Thai in Reykjavik to get together and build a plan. We decided that we would meet around Seljavallalaug Pool and then simply journey as far East as we could.

Our engagement photo tour in Iceland ended at Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon. We had driven through Vik and endless Lava Fields before we finally made it all the way out there. And it did not disappoint. To this day, the magnitude, ferocity, and power of this canyon is still one of the most incredible things I have ever seen.

Even though I’ve been to Iceland many times, this trek along the South Coast never leaves me wanting. It has so many of the most surreal landscapes packed into one location.

Oh my gosh I am dying! These images at the Seljavallalung Pool are to die for! This was one of the few things that we missed when we were exploring Iceland! You definitely are making me want to go back and visit the pool!
